La Pintura, es una entidad conceptual, y necesita de un espectador dispuesto al ejercicio de la observación y a sacar conclusiones. Teniendo en cuenta esto, puedo acercarme a las piezas presentadas aquí como Tracks de un disco que va separando instancias en unidades. Como un todo fragmentario y reaccionario. Como decía Jean Dubuffet : “la pintura tiene que ser como un perro que habla”. Las pinturas y compendios gráficos de Sebastián Maquieira establecen relaciones de muy variada naturaleza. Todo se mueve y todo va de paso. Lo impermanente se presenta y se instala aquí como un universo desconcertante. Este mundo de hélices, mandíbulas y registros del tiempo me ponen en jaque, como cuando escuché Led Zeppellin por primera vez, y me dije QUE ES ESTO. Aquí prima la restricción de elementos, la nitidez de alta definición. Pienso en haikus visuales. Existe siempre una refinada crudeza que me hace dudar de lo que veo. Las relaciones entre los elementos no son al azar. Hay un pensamiento contenido en cada ejercicio que aquí se presenta. Metáforas y soluciones visuales que hablan de lo transitorio y de lo frágil. Cosas que ocurren dia a dia, calle adentro.
